Embraer participates in "Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024" (December 19-22)

The company showcases C-390 "Millenium" and A-29 "Super Tucano" airplanes

Embraer showcases its portfolio of defense aircraft and solutions, including the C-390 Millennium multi-mission military transport aircraft and the A-29 Super Tucano light attack, reconnaissance and advanced training aircraft, at the "Vietnam Defense Expo 2024" from December 19 to 22. This participation reflects the strengthening bilateral relations between Brazil and Vietnam.

On the sidelines of the recent G20 Summit in Brazil, the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Phạm Minh Chính met with Embraer representatives and the engagement highlighted the opportunity for Embraer to further contribute towards Vietnam’s aerospace ambitions.

The C-390 Millennium can carry more payload (26 tons) compared to other medium-sized military transport aircraft and flies faster (470 knots) and farther, being capable of performing a wide range of missions such as air logistic support to Government agencies, aerial surveillance, transporting and dropping cargo and troops, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian missions, operating on temporary or unpaved runways such as packed earth, soil, coral and gravel. The aircraft configured with air-to-air refueling equipment, with the designation KC-390, has the aerial refueling capacity both as a tanker and as a receiver.

The current fleet of C-390 Millennium aircraft globally has accumulated more than 15,000 flight hours.

Last month, Sweden selected the Embraer C-390 Millennium as its new tactical transport aircraft. Most recently, Slovakia indicated the C-390 as the best option to modernize its military transport fleet. These strategic decisions from further NATO country adds to the growing number of C-390 Millennium operators worldwide. To date, the C-390 has been contracted by South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal and Brazil.

The industry's presence at the event reaffirms the company’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships and providing innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of its customers worldwide.
