Embraer and FAB: agreement to expand C-390 Millennium special mission capabilities
Signed at "Mostra Bid" (December 3-5)
Embraer and the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) signed an agreement at "Mostra BID" (December 3-5), the National Defense and Security Fair in Brasilia, to deepen collaborative studies aimed at expanding the capabilities of the C-390 Millennium platform for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, with a focus on Maritime Patrol.
The aircraft has a great potential to meet and even exceed the operational requirements not only the Brazilian Air Force, but also customers worldwide.
The C-390 Millennium has been chosen by Brazil, Hungary, Austria, South Korea, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Sweden, to modernize their air forces.
With a maximum payload of 26 tons, a top speed of 470 knots, and state-of-the-art technology, this model is the reference aircraft in its class. Its powerful engines, large cargo hold with a rear ramp, and robust landing gear allow it to handle the most demanding missions, including operations from unpaved runways.
Its current fleet in operation worldwide has accumulated more than 15,000 flight hours.
