Airbus delivers first A-330neo airplane for Malaysia Airlines

It will be deployed on routes across Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East

Malaysia Aviation Group (Mag), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines, has taken delivery of its A-330neo.

The A-330/900 is the first of 20 to be leased from Avolon by MAG, setting new standards for fuel efficiency and passenger experience.

MAG’s A-330neo is configured with a premium two-class layout, featuring 297 seats, with 28 fully-flat Business Class suites and an all-new Economy cabin accommodating 269 passengers.

The carrier will deploy the aircraft on routes across Asia and the Pacific, as well as on selected destinations to the Middle East.

MAG is the 20th to join a growing number of global airline operators of the modern fuel efficient A-330neo. To date, Airbus has delivered more than 140 A-330neo aircraft to airlines worldwide.
