Aeroitalia reports traffic growth of 110% in the 3Q
And it announces 12 new routes for Winter season
Aeroitalia, the fastest growing Italian airline, reports that it transported 800,000 passengers in the third quarter of 2024, recording an increase in its passenger traffic of 110% compared to the previous year.The airline has boosted its capacity by +70% compared to the previous year while improving its productivity by increasing its seat load factor by + 15 percentage points.
“We are pleased to share the numbers of our rapid growth, and we remain in line with our forecast to welcome more than 2.5 Mln guests in 2024. We are grateful to all our customers who have chosen to fly Aeroitalia and we are pleased to announce further capacity growth this winter season, adding 12 new routes and a further capacity expansion of + 30% seats versus the previous year” said Krassimir Tanev, CCO of Aeroitalia, and added: “We will further strengthen our position into Sardinian market adding Rome–Cagliari and Milan-Linate/Cagliari and we will expand our offer from Sicily adding services to Parma, Perugia and Cuneo from both Comiso and Trapani".
The 12 new routes are:
Palermo–Bergamo from October 26;
Rome–Cagliari from October 27;
Linate–Cagliari from October 27;
Comiso-Florence from October 27;
Catania–Tunis from December 4;
Parma–Comiso from December 2;
Parma–Trapani from December 2;
Cuneo–Comiso from December 14;
Cuneo–Trapani from December 14;
Perugia-Lamezia Terme from December 14;
Perugia–Comiso from December 15;
Rome–Lublin from March 22.
