On 21 and 22 October, a delegation from the Italian Chamber of Deputies will travel to Tirana for the 1st meeting of the Italy-Albania parliamentary collaboration group, in implementation of the collaboration protocol signed between the Chamber of Deputies and the Parliament of the Republic of Albania on 12 April 2022.

The delegation is composed of Salvatore Deidda, President of the Transport Commission and co-president of the collaboration group, Andrea Caroppo (FI), Vice President of the Transport Commission, Patty L'Abbate (M5S), Vice President of the Environment Commission, Anthony Emanuele Barbagallo (PD) and Andrea Dara (Lega). The following topics will be discussed during the meeting: the process of Albania's accession to the European Union; work, business, economic and cultural relations; strengthening collaboration between Italy and Albania in the transport infrastructure sector; energy and environment.

The delegation will also meet the President of the Albanian Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, the European Affairs Committee, the Productive Activities Committee and the President of the Economy Committee, and will travel to Durres to visit the construction sites for the railway infrastructure and the Maritime Border Unit of the Guardia di Finanza (Nufrom).
