Las Vegas occurrence: Frontier Airlines plane makes critical landing
Federal Aviation Administration investigation underway
A Frontier Airlines plane was in a critical situation as it was landing at Las Vegas, Nevada, from San Diego, California. The occurrence was caused by a particularly rough landing that caused the plane's tires to overheat and catch fire.
According to official communications released on platform X, the pilots detected smoke immediately after landing and promptly declared an emergency. Authorities, interviewed by "CNN", confirmed that the forced landing led to the rupture of the tires. A video released by the network clearly shows flames emerging from the lower part of the aircraft and a dense column of smoke following the path of the landing.
Fortunately, the 190 passengers and seven crewmembers on board were unharmed. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has already launched an investigation to determine the cause of the event and assess the safety conditions of the landing. This fact further highlights the importance of safety and maintenance procedures in civil aviation.
