Middle East: Israeli air attack on Gaza City

Negotiations continue between Palestinians and Israelis for a ceasefire in Qatar

Israel's armed forces apparently eliminated "dozens of terrorists" in Gaza City this night. It was reported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) via social networks. Military operations, both by air and by land, continue in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, negotiations are underway in Qatar between Palestinians and Israelis to reach a ceasefire in exchange for the release of hostages on both sides.

"Israel has taken measures to be more precise in its attacks and not do so in an indiscriminate manner. Sufficient? No. This is why we continue to work" to prevent the attacks conducted by Israel in Gaza from causing further civilian casualties, he explained today John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the US National Security Council.

Meanwhile, Hamas has confirmed its willingness to sign the draft truce with Israel: "Now the ball is in the court of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu". The Palestinian Group warns, however, that this expansion of Tel Aviv's military operations in Gaza and the displacement of thousands of residents could have "disastrous repercussions" on talks in Qatar to reach a ceasefire.
