Salerno Airport: positive effects on companies
Territory company managers welcome reopening
The return to operation of the Italian airport of Salerno-Costa d'Amalfi will have positive effects on the local economy. The Chamber of Commerce of the Campania city has reiterated this several times in recent months, as has local politics. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the first air connection scheduled for 11 July 2024, operated by the Spanish low-cost airline Volotea towards the French airport of Nantes-Atlantique.
The opening of the airport "is an unmissable driving force that both the tertiary and primary sectors cannot afford to lose", reported Guglielmo Noschese, CEO of the agricultural company of the same name, which has based in Battipaglia, in the province of Salerno, and specializes in the aromatic herbs sector.
Applause comes from another company that produces canned food and is based in Pontecagnano, right where the airport is located. The ports have become "essential hubs for global business" which "facilitate the movement not only of goods, but also of people themselves. I am thinking of the management class, collaborators, customers and partners", Maria D'Amico, marketing, explains to the Campania newspaper and sustainability manager of the company.
