Italy. Doors open at Padua airport

Numerous vintage and modern aircraft will be on display until Saturday evening

Open doors at the Italian "Gino Allegri" airport in Padua. Aviation enthusiasts can admire numerous vintage and modern airplanes until tomorrow. Among these there are Antonov AN-2 aircraft, a Caproni Ca-3 and a Spad from 1916, a North American T-6 Texan from the 1930s, a Cessna L-19 Bird Dog from the 1940s, a Piaggio P-166 and a P-149 from the 1950s, a Bristell from the 2000s, and other old and new planes.

The event is open to the public until 6:30pm on Saturday 22 June 2024. National and foreign crews will be present on the occasion, available to aviation enthusiasts, to provide information to the public and to conduct guided tours of the aircraft on display, illustrating its characteristics.

Most of these aircraft will be stationed on the airport grounds of the Padua airport and on the apron in front of the terminal. The event is organized by the stopover management company Heron Air, in collaboration with the Historical Aircraft Group. In particular, on the afternoon of June 22nd, the association will also make available to enthusiasts a series of vintage aircraft that will land in Padua for the occasion.
