Italy. Aeroporti 2030 weight rises nationwide

After the two new entries, the airport association aims to expand further

The number of national airports that are members of Aeroporti 2030 has increased to 10. The Association was founded in 2021 with the aim of protecting, representing and enhancing, at a national and international level, airport companies and promoting, in a dynamic and proactive way, the development sustainable, intermodal, innovative and digital of Italian airports. After the recent membership of Aeroporti di Puglia (AdP) and UrbanV, the organization aims to expand further.

"Their entry represents recognition of the work done so far and an encouragement to continue on the path of innovation and sustainability. We are convinced that the collaboration between these important players in the airport sector will lead to significant progress in terms of operational efficiency and reduction of 'environmental impact', was the comment of the president of Aeroporti 2030, Alfonso Celotto.

The association includes the airports of the Italian capital (Fiumicino and Ciampino) managed by the company Aeroporti di Roma (AdR), the airports of North-East Italy controlled by Save (Venice, Treviso, Verona and Brescia). And now the Apulian network (Bari, Brindisi, Foggia and Taranto) and the UrbanV company (AdR, Save, Bologna Airport, Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur), which deals with sustainable urban air mobility.
