Salerno Airport: "Positive repercussions for all of Italy"

Meeting at the Chamber of Commerce; low-cost airline also arrives in August

The Salerno-Costa Amalfi airport will open in July and will be an important infrastructure for the Campania region and for the whole of Italy. It is what emerged during a meeting held last night at the Salerno Chamber of Commerce. Present were the CGIL union and the president of the Reginal Transport Commission, Luca Cascone

"It is an important infrastructure for the function it will have for this territory, therefore for the ability it will have to expand a territory which by its nature is very dynamic. Therefore, the airport will have a positive effect directly on the territory and, at the same time , will also have a positive effect on Naples airport", is the comment of the general secretary of the Filt Cgil union, Stefano Malorgio.

Meanwhile, the low-cost airline Ryanair will also operate from Salerno. This was announced by the carrier which has decided to expand the network of destinations reachable from the "Sandro Pertini" airport of Turin-Caselle in the 2024 summer season. Starting from 2 August the new flight will be operational with three weekly frequencies: this will allow travelers to reach Amalfi, Positano, the island of Capri, the archaeological area of Paestum, the Cilento park.
