Italy, Parma Airport: Centerline makes the purchase official
Dalla Rosa Prati (Sogeap): "From next Winter connected to destinations of great interest"
Improving number of flights, user experience, safety and quality standards of infrastructure: these are the objectives of the Canadian company Centerline Airport Partners, which recently announced the acquisition of 51% of the airport management company of Parma (Sogeap). This is a communication that formalizes and confirms the rumors that have been circulating since last year.
"Our international experience and commitment to excellence will bring significant benefits to the city and its community. We are excited to work closely with ENAC, UPI, DAA International, Universal Weather and Aviation and all stakeholders to make the Parma international airport is a reference hub in the Region", is the comment of Andrew O'Brian, president and CEO of Centerline Airport Partners.
The Canadian company has announced that the current president of the board of directors of Sogeap, Guido Dalla Rosa Prati, will continue to hold his current position. The "Giuseppe Verdi" airport will benefit from "new opportunities for tourism, trade and economic development" with new routes and more frequent flights. Services will also be developed (from technologies to comfort for passengers) through collaboration with the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (Enac).
The president of Sogeap also specifies: "Starting from next Winter, Parma will be connected to various destinations of great interest. The 'Giuseppe Verdi' airport will offer a high quality service to both passengers and general aviation, avoiding competition with other airports more oriented towards the volume of passengers, which often leads to saturated and inaccessible infrastructures".
