A four-day strike has been proclaimed in the United Kingdom and will involve border Police officers at London-Heathrow International Airport. According to estimates, more than 600 people will fold their arms. The mobilization will start on Thursday 11th and will end on Sunday 14th April. The protest in one of the busiest airports in Europe will have repercussions on air traffic in the Old Continent.

"Workers are angry and determined to protect their jobs", explained Fran Heathcote, general secretary of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union, which put the mobilization proclamation to the vote, receiving over 90% of the vote by employees. Police officers demand better working conditions.

Meanwhile, the British Home Department, led by Secretary James Cleverly, has pledged to implement measures that reduce the impact of the strike on travellers, promising "robust plans to minimize delays". In fact, it is expected that the mobilization will greatly lengthen the waiting times at the airport for passengers, with long queues at the security checkpoints before boarding.
