The leaders of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) believe that a stronger role for the Atlantic Alliance in coordinating and providing support to Kiev is a way to end the war against Russia, ensuring that Ukraine prevails. They announced this today at the opening of the foreign ministerial meeting in Brussels. An opportunity to also talk about the 100 billion Euro NATO fund to be allocated to Kiev.

"The reality is that if this war is to end, the sooner we can convince Moscow that it will not win on the battlefield, the sooner we can reach a peace agreement in which Russia realizes that it cannot win the war, but must sit and negotiate an agreement in which Ukraine prevails as a sovereign and independent nation", said NATO General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg.

The "99% of support for Ukraine comes from NATO allies and, of course, I welcome the capabilities of the Ramstein coalition and many other multinational and bilateral initiatives, but it is necessary to provide a stronger institutional framework to ensure predictability and Long-term commitment. It is obvious that we need new and increased funds for Ukraine and that we need it for many years".

Meanwhile, the Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, stated: "It is obvious that we are all in favor of the independence of Ukraine and of defending international law. We will continue to do so, remembering that we will not send a soldier to fight because we are not in war with Russia". "A common European defense takes time but we need to go in that direction".
