Turkish Airlines expands routes in Italy
More flights to eight destinations on the Peninsula from next Sunday
The strengthening of connections with Italy by the national carrier Turkish Airlines will begin on 31 March 2024. In recent months, in fact, the company had announced a significant increase in flight frequencies to and from the airports of Bologna, Bari, Palermo and Naples. This is a move with which the airline intends to meet the increased travel demand from passengers in the summer season.
It is the service expansion program in detail: weekly flights from Istanbul to the "Guglielmo Marconi" in Bologna-Panigale will be 21 (there were 18); those to and from the "Karol Wojtyla" of Bari-Palese will be seven (there were five); those with the "Falcone-Borsellino" of Palermo-Punta Raisi rise to six (they were four); those towards "Ugo Niutta" of Naples-Capodichino go to 18 (they were 12).
The Turkish company will operate a total of 136 flights for a total of eight destinations throughout Italy. The agreement signed between Turkish Airlines and the Italian flag carrier ITA Airways in July 2023 has helped to further improve travel options between Turkey and Italy, offering passengers greater flexibility and quality services.
