Investors focus on eVtol Archer Aviation

Partner acquires share on the stock market for 8.3 million euros

The US company Archer Aviation, specialized in the development of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVtol, Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing), has sold part of its capital to its partner Stellantis for 8.3 million euros invested in the stock market. The company's goal is to put the first aircraft on the market in 2025.

"Archer has established itself in the electrified aviation market and we believe that together we could lead the next transportation revolution. With this transaction, Stellantis demonstrates the trust it places in the team and rewards the progress we continue to see, the result of the fruitful collaboration between our companies", said Carlos Tavares, CEO of the Group that purchased Archer Aviation shares.

In fact, since 2020 Stellantis has been a strategic partner of Archer as a collaborator and since 2021 as an investor. In January 2023, the automotive group announced its intention to exclusively produce Archer Aviation's eVtol "Midnight" at the plant in Santa Clara, California, and at the plant in Georgia, which will be completed by the end of 2024, for a capacity of production of 650 aircraft per year.
