Anticipation is growing for the return of the biennial international "Singapore Airshow", one of the most important events in Asia in the aviation and defense sectors. The fair will be held starting tomorrow, Tuesday 20 February 2024, and until Sunday 25, at the Changi Exhibition Center in Singapore. Many new features and absolute previews of airplanes, helicopters, technologies, Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVtol) aircraft and in the defense sector.

In particular, the US company Gulfstream Aerospace has announced that its new G-700 plane will make its debut at the "Singapore Airshow". This is the latest aircraft model specifically designed for the Business Aviation market segment, that is business travel. Featuring a spacious cabin that can accommodate up to 19 passengers, it is equipped with all comforts and ensures low levels of noise pollution and Co2 emissions.

A good portion of the exhibition area of the fair will be dedicated to business aircraft manufacturers. The planes on display will include the Embraer Praetor 600, Bombardier Global 6500, Gulfstream G-600, Textron's Cessna Citation "Latitude" and CitationJet CJ-4, as well as the Pilatus PC-24, HondaJet HA-420, the Grand Caravan, the King Air 360. Dassault Aviation's 6X aircraft will also make its debut in Singapore. 

A clear signal from the manufacturers, who are trying to respond to the strong demand for this type of aircraft. Corporate aviation in South-East Asia is in fact a rapidly expanding sector, with the two airports in Singapore (Changi and Seletar) which in 2023 hosted almost 5,000 corporate aircraft, including turbojets and turboprops, recording an increase in movements equal to more than +25% compared to 2019, the period before the pandemic.
