Il-76 military plane (2) shot down in Russia
There would have been 65 Ukrainian military prisoners on board the aircraft - VIDEO
Hypotheses are multiplying as to the causes that led to the crash of the Ilyushin Il-76 military transport plane of the Moscow Armed Forces in the Russian region of Belgorod. After taking refuge behind an initial silence, in the last few hours the defense ministry announced that there were 65 Ukrainian military prisoners, six crewmembers and three companions on board the aircraft.
The dynamics of the accident are not yet clear. The Russian government specified that a delegation of Air Force technicians went to the crash site "to establish the causes of the disaster". However, accusations against the West have come from the Russian parliament: the theory is that American and German missiles shot down the aircraft. It is more likely arms supplied to Ukraine.
Military sources in Kiev, quoted by the national newspaper "Ukrainskaya Pravda" and relaunched by the Russian information site "Meduza", which belongs to the opposition parties against Russian President Vladimir Putin, stated that the plane was carrying missiles for the defense system anti-aircraft S-300. Circumstance not confirmed. The only certainty is that the wreckage of the Il-76 plane is scattered over a radius of over five kilometers in the area of the crash. This would suggest that the aircraft was hit while in flight.
