Record orders for Airbus in November 2023
Registered +354% compared to the same month 2022
Orders for aircraft commissioned in November 2023 from the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus marked a record leap of +354% compared to the performance recorded in the same month of 2022, with a growth of +10% on an annual basis in the order book. It's what emerges from the latest report from the Ads Group, the British trade association representing the aerospace, defense and security industries.
"Although we see a record number of orders placed and a slight increase in deliveries compared to 2022 data, the recovery of the sector requires continued commitment at all levels of the supply chain", explains Aimie Stone, chief economist of the Ads Group.
From January to November 2023, there were 2657 aircraft orders (over 2000 narrowbody and 586 widebody). Aircraft deliveries also increased by 3% in November: 120 in total. Record figures also for engines which in November reached an order book of 28,376 units. American Boeing's numbers are a little behind: around 1200 net orders for 2023. Airbus remains ahead this year too.
