The Indian low-cost airline IndiGo is planning to open another Italian hub at the "Ugo Niutta" airport in Naples-Capodichino. If the decision materializes, the Neapolitan stopover will be added to those of Milan, Rome and Venice, where the Indian company operates flights to Asia, which stop in Istanbul, Turkey. In the future, the airline could also operate routes to Turin, Bologna and Cagliari.

The aim of the Indian company is to create even more competitive prices for the international low-cost market, giving tourists the opportunity to travel comfortably around the world at increasingly reduced prices. In fact, the fares proposed by the airline foresee costs starting from a few tens of Euros. This is a move that is part of the company's expansion plan, which aims to extend its business to Europe as well.

IndiGo is an Indian low-cost airline founded in 2005. It made its first flight on 4 August 2006. It has its headquarters at the "Indira Gandhi" International Airport in New Delhi. Today it has a fleet of 315 aircraft (165 A-320neo, 87 A-321neo, 39 ATR-72/600, 20 A-320, two B-777/300ER) serving 104 destinations. It recently purchased 500 new Airbus aircraft.
