Ukrainian war: Kiev receives European weapons
Among the supplies there are approximately 300,000 ammunitions and artillery shells
The European Union has delivered around 300,000 ammunition and artillery shells to Ukraine to date. These are the first batches of a military supply that includes millions of ammunition promised by Brussels. This was announced by the Kiev executive during a meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) held today in Brussels. On the occasion, Kiev called for greater alignment between the Ukrainian and European defense industries.
"We must create a common Euro-Atlantic space for defense industries. This would guarantee both the security of Ukraine and that of the NATO countries themselves". Meanwhile, "the maintenance center for Ukrainian heavy equipment will continue to operate in Slovakia. Contracts between Ukrainian and Slovak companies producing weapons will continue", said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, reaffirming the promise of his Slovak counterpart Juraj Blanar.
