The management company of London-Luton airport has announced that up to 100 cars will be removed from the multi-storey car park which was severely damaged by a fire on the evening of October 10th. Company executives have already confirmed that the building will probably be demolished, to ensure the safety of the airport grounds.

The fire broke out on the third floor of the Terminal 2 car park and is thought to have started from a parked car, quickly spreading to other cars and the upper floors of the structure. More than 1,400 vehicles remained stuck inside the building today. The firefighters immediately declared that the flames had caused a "significant structural collapse" of the building.
