At the invitation of Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in China today for a two-day official visit. The head of the Kremlin will be in the capital on 17 and 18 October. On the first day, bilateral meetings are scheduled between the delegations of the countries with colleagues who will participate in the Third International Forum "One Belt - One Road", including the presidents of Vietnam and Mongolia. Tomorrow the face-to-face meeting between Xi and Putin. 

This was reported by the Russian state news agency "Tass". Today the Russian president will take part in a ceremony in which Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife will formally greet the heads of the delegations participating in the event, which will open on Wednesday 18 October. The Russian-Chinese talks cannot miss a discussion on the topic of the war in Ukraine, for which Beijing mediates on the peace negotiations between Moscow and Kiev.
