EasyJet will purchase 157 planes

The announcement at the close of the financial year

British low-cost airline EasyJet today announced an agreement to purchase 157 new aircraft produced by the European Airbus Group. The proposal contains an option to acquire an additional 100 aircraft, as well as converting an additional 35 A-320neo airplanes to A-321neo models. The overall value of the deal is approximately "19.9 billion dollars" at list price and "excluding discounts". The planes will be budgeted between 2029 and 2034. 

The British company, based at London-Luton airport, currently has a fleet of 333 units as follows: 35 A-319s, as well as 171 A-320 aircraft, then there are 52 A-320neos and finally 15 A- 321neo. These operate a network of connections that today serves 183 destinations (July 2023 data) across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Among these there are 20 Italian cities.
