Helicopter crash in Italy: second victim found

It would be a photographer of Dutch nationality, but no official confirmation

The body of the second victim of the plane crash that occurred on 10 October in the province of Ferrara has been recovered. Who lost their lives together with Hazem Bayumi, 73 years old, an entrepreneur from Bologna of Egyptian origins who was at the controls of the Bell 206B JetRanger III helicopter (registration T7-HZM) which sank into a basin of water in the Settepolesini area, in the municipality of Bondeno, there would be a friend of his of Dutch nationality.

According to initial information, the Scuba Diver Unit of the Bologna Fire Brigade recovered the body yesterday afternoon, bringing it to shore "in such conditions as to allow its recognition", write the local media. The body is now preserved at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Ferrara, at the disposal of the judicial authorities. At the moment the identity has not been confirmed, but it appears to be a Dutch photographer.

The Ferrara Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into involuntary disaster. At the moment there are no people in the register of suspects. Present on site in recent days were the deputy prosecutor Barbara Cavallo, and a technician from the Italian Flight Safety Agency (ANSV), who opened an investigation.
