Italy: three drunks, flight diverted

The aircraft had departed from Dalaman airport in Turkey and was headed to Liverpool

The pilot of a plane was forced to divert the flight and make an emergency landing at the Italian "Marco Polo" International airport of Venice-Tessera. It was due to the harassing behavior of three drunk passengers. They were three English travellers, aged 40, 55 and 59, who, inebriated by the spirits they drank shortly before departure, disturbed the passengers and the on-board staff.

The aircraft had departed from Dalaman Airport, Turkey, and was headed to Liverpool, United Kingdom. According to what was reported by the on-board staff, the three were totally drunk and behaved in a harassing and aggressive manner towards travelers and crew members. Once the plane landed in the Italian airport, the Venice Border Police took delivery of the three, identified them and then sent them back to the United Kingdom.
