Israel: planes full of soldiers in Tel Aviv
Called up from all over Europe to fight against Hamas
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has sent Lockheed C-130 Hercules and C-130J Super Hercules military transport planes to various European countries to take on board soldiers to bring back to Israel. The operation is organized by the Tel Aviv Air forces in coordination with the Foreign Ministry. These hundreds of soldiers, who were in various capacities on the Old Continent, will be available for a possible operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Israel mobilized 300,000 reservists in 48 hours, an unprecedented rapid call to arms. "We thought that by yesterday we would have full control" of the border with the Gaza Strip. "I hope we get it done today by the end of the day", said Lt. Col. Richard Hecht. The objective is to "restore a level of security", otherwise Tel Aviv is ready for a military operation.
