Prague celebrates new military helicopters
Czech Republic remembered him on the occasion of "Nato Days 2023"
The government of the Czech Republic has celebrated the delivery of the first four new attack helicopters produced by the US manufacturer Bell Textron. These are three AH-1Z Viper aircraft and one UH-1Y Venom rotorcraft. Prague remembered this on the occasion of the "Nato Days 2023" event (from 14 to 17 September), which was held in the city of Ostrava, in the Eastern European country.
"We celebrate this occasion with Prague modernizing its helicopter fleet. These new H-1 machines place the country at the forefront of helicopter technology, at a time when security is more important than ever" due to the Russian-Russian conflict Ukrainian, said Mike Deslatte, Bell vice president and director of the H-1 program.
In July 2023, the Czech Republic received the first two Bell AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters, after the green light was received from the US State Department in May. By the end of September Prague will have two more Viper helicopters and one UH-1Y Venom aircraft. The order includes a total of six Bell AH-1Z Vipers and three UH-1Y Venoms.
