Storm "Dana", which hit Spain last week-end, caused the cancellation of six flights and more than 100 delays at Palma de Mallorca airport in the Balearic Islands. Inconveniences also at the airports of Seville, Madrid, Bilbao and Valencia. The emergency was caused by a low pressure system which blocked the Iberian transport sector over the week-end. In these hours it is back to normal. 

Days of torrential rains have caused at least three deaths in Spain. Several subway lines were closed due to the accumulation of water caused by the violent and incessant "bomb" that provoked floods throughout the country. Record people trapped in homes or cars, road closures, disruption of train services, delays and cancellations of flights at various airports across the country.

For days, the Spanish low-cost airline Vueling suspended connections between Santander airport and Palma de Mallorca airport, due to adverse weather conditions. However, the airline has re-protected the affected passengers on the first available flights. At the moment there are no further inconveniences in the air transport and airport sector caused by bad weather.
