Ukrainian conflict: Moscow-Vnukovo airport attacked

Airport reopened, but closed to civilian flights after Kiev drone raids - VIDEO

Moscow-Vnukovo airport reopened after a brief closure. The operation of the Russian airport, which however will remain closed to civilian traffic, was suspended last night after a military attack conducted by Ukrainian drones. The result of the raid would be at least four Ilyushin Il-76 strategic transport aircraft damaged, while other parked planes would have been sheltered and at least five aircraft would have left the airport during the night.

"All transport facilities required to operate air connections are functioning normally. Today, in order to take further measures for flight safety, six flights of the Azimut company and two of Ikar have been cancelled", reported the transport agency "Rosaviatsia", specifying that the airport will not serve civil flights today.

Below the video. The images show the moment of the attack on the airport of the city of Pskov, located in the north-western part of Russia, where the 334th regiment of the Russian aviation is based. According to initial reconstructions, it was targeted by 10-20 Ukrainian drones, some of which were intercepted and destroyed, explained regional governor Mikhail Vedernikov. The attack caused no casualties.
