The launch of the Crew-7 space mission has been postponed. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) deferred the departure by 24 hours, with the aim of verifying one of the environmental control systems of the Crew Dragon capsule built by the American private space company SpaceX. The launch is currently scheduled for 9:27 am Italian time on Saturday 26 August.

"After performing a further review of the data, mission managers have decided to take additional time to reconfirm the required safety factors and operating margin on one of the Dragon spacecraft's life support and environmental control system (ECLSS) components", NASA said.

The mission is intended to bring four astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS), including the Danish Andreas Mogensen, of the European Space Agency, who will become the next commander of the ISS. Will fly with him the American Jasmin Moghbeli, the Japanese Satoshi Furukawa, the Russian Konstantin Borisov. The launch of SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket will take place at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States.
