Russia-Ukraine: F-16 aircraft towards Kiev

Over 40 airplanes from the governments of the Netherlands and Denmark

The governments of the Netherlands and Denmark have formalized their decision to deliver more than 40 Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft to Ukraine. This is an initiative that aims to strengthen Kiev's air shield in the conflict against Moscow. It was announced by the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, on a visit to the Netherlands, during a press conference with the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte at an Eindhoven air base.

"We have taken another step to strengthen Ukraine's air shield. These jets will be used to keep Russian terrorists out of Ukrainian cities and towns. Rutte and I have reached an agreement on the number of F-16s to be transferred to Ukraine, once our pilots and engineers have completed their training: 42 aircraft. And this is just the beginning. Thank you, Holland", writes Ukrainian President Zelensky
