German Police upgrade helicopter fleet
Aircraft with new intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems
In recent weeks, the H-135 helicopters of the German Police have undergone a review procedure for the surveillance equipment on board. This led to an update of part of the avionics: in detail, two new independent video transmission systems with Vitec coding were installed, including routers and transmission antennas.
"This contract demonstrates our role as a provider of mobile cell-based video streaming technologies and our successful strategy in designing and delivering high quality, reliable and secure solutions for tactical video surveillance services, which meet the most stringent government specifications", said Christoph Eder, the general manager of Team2applications, the company that supplied the new systems.
The new video transmission system allows German Police helicopters to better perform Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations even in extreme conditions, thanks to a technology that offers efficient bandwidth in applications of video streaming in the field.
