The Armed Forces of Ukraine presented a new maritime drone named "Magura V5". The unmanned nautical vehicle was exhibited for the first time in these hours at the "International Defense Industry Fair" ("Idef") 2023 which takes place in Turkey from 25 to 28 July in the capital Istanbul. The news comes a few hours after the announcement by Kiev of the production of an unmanned aircraft called "Sirko".

The maritime drone belongs to a new generation of multipurpose unmanned surface vessels developed by the Ukrainian State-owned company Spets Techno Export. The vehicle is intended to perform multiple missions: reconnaissance, surveillance, patrolling, search and rescue, anti-mine countermeasures, fleet support and combat. It can develop a speed of up to 78 km/h and carry up to 320 kg of payload.
