There is controversy against the behavior of the crew of the Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air who last night disembarked a disabled passenger from an aircraft. Not just any traveller, but a Ukrainian war veteran with a prosthesis. A decision that sparked multiple criticisms, with a video that went viral on social media.

According to an initial reconstruction of events, a company A-321neo aircraft was ready to depart from Tel Aviv-Yafo's "Ben Gurion" international airport to Warsaw's "Frederic Chopin" airport (flight W6-1560). Among the passengers on board was a war veteran, who was on his way home to his family in Ukraine, who was disembarked from the aircraft".

A video shot by some passengers shows the soldier begging the flight attendants to let him stay on the plane, showing his baggage full of gifts for his family members: "How am I going to get home?" you hear in the video. The man then knelt down, begging to be allowed to stay on board. According to some witnesses, the soldier also fell down the stairs, injuring his hands.

Meanwhile, the air company has "apologized" for the incident, justifying the removal because "he had a medical condition that could put him at risk". The Hungarian low-cost carrier then declared that it "provided water and a seat" to the man "waiting for him to be assisted by airport staff".
