Plane orders doubled

It emerges from the Boeing company's "Commercial Market outlook 2023"

Over the next 20 years, demand for new aircraft will double to 42,595 new units. It is more than expected last year (41,170 aircraft): half will replace about 21,000 current aircraft in service. The remainder will be dedicated to fleet growth, in both cases the new aircraft will be more efficient and less polluting. It is stressed by the annual document "Commercial Market outlook 2023" of the American Group Boeing, a company specialized in the aerospace and defense sectors. The boom in orders for new aircraft comes after the long pandemic crisis.

"The industry has emerged from the crisis much more flexible and able to respond quickly to market demands. We are constantly working closely with our customers to meet their needs", said Darren Hulst, Boeing's vice president of Commercial Marketing. during the public presentation of the report.

The liveliness of the market is also demonstrated by the large number of estimated orders that will arrive on the occasion of the "Paris Air Show" at Le Bourget airport (from 19 to 25 June). These will be added to those already announced by the American airline United Airlines, by Air India, by Saudi Arabian Airlines, by the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair and by the start-up Riyadh Air, which will present the new livery at the Paris air show.
