ITA Airways: airspace cabin debuts
Comfort and technology to offer customers a unique flight experience
With the new A-330neo, the national air carrier ITA Airways, which entered service on 2 June completing its first commercial flight on the Rome-Washington route, the Airspace cabin, which guarantees maximum levels of comfort and greater cabin makes its debut with the tricolor brand. A lot of technology is also on board, with a wide range of on-demand audio-video contents.
The cabin is organized into three classes of service: Business (30 "full flat" seats which allow the passenger to have a real bed with direct access to the aisle), Premium (24 seats) and Economy (237 seats of which 36 dedicated to Comfort Economy). The interiors are signed by designer Walter De Silva, who has focused on blue and sand colors, with details that can be found in the embroidered logo on the headrests.
A certain combination of lights and colors then accompanies the different phases of flight: the blue livery for boarding; green for take-off and landing; blue with warm light of varying intensity to promote relaxation; lighting with neutral shades for lunch and dinner moments; atmosphere that fades and gradually rekindles to accompany sleep and awakening at dusk and dawn.
