Aircraft. Strike in Italy on 17 March
24-hour mobilization of airport handling, security, transport and allied services
General strike in Italy in the aviation sector on March 17th. The mobilization is called by the trade unions Unitary Confederation of Base (CUB), Uilt-Uil, Ugl-Air Transport, CGIL and Flai-Cgil Transport and Services. The aim of the protest is to obtain higher wages, commensurate with the growth of inflation, as well as raise awareness of precarious contracts, job cuts, reduction of protections, late payments, layoffs.
Workers from companies operating in the airport handling, security, aviation and allied sectors will cross their arms for 24 hours (from 00:01am to 11:59pm). The employees of the Aviation Services and Aviation Services Assistance companies (from 11:00am to 3:00pm) and the flight personnel of the Air Dolomiti airline (from 1:00pm to 5:00pm) also abstain from work for four hours.
On the silo of the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC), in the "Flights guaranteed in the event of a strike" section, the list of air connections that will be made on the day of the national mobilization of the air transport sector is available.
