France: strikes at the airport
The mobilization continues today and tomorrow, cuts of up to 30% on the flight schedule
The French Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (Dgac) said the disruptions due to the strike by air traffic controllers would continue until at least 06:00 on March 11, 2023. The protest started on March 6. Further delays and cancellations are therefore expected between today and tomorrow.
French air regulators have asked air carriers to reduce their flight schedules on mobilization days by 20 to 30%. The airports of Paris-"Charles de Gaulle", Paris-Orly, Paris-Beauvais, Bordeaux-Merignac, Lille, Lyon-Saint Exupery, Nantes Atlantique, Marseille-Provence, Montpellier-Mediterranée, Nice-Côte d'Azur and Toulouse are affected by the extension-Blagnac.
The national strike affects the entire transport sector: buses, metro and trains. The mobilization was called by a coalition of trade unions to protest against the pension reform proposed by the government led by Emmanuel Macron, which would raise the retirement age.
