Frattasi head of Italian cybersecurity

He takes over from Roberto Baldoni who resigned a few days ago

The Italian council of ministers has appointed Bruno Frattasi as the new director of the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN). He takes over from Roberto Baldoni, who had resigned a few days ago, placing the position in the hands of the Government headed by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, who has taken steps to entrust the position to a new figure who has grown professionally at the Interior Ministry.

Frattasi, at the head of the prefecture of Rome, was the chief of cabinet of the ex-minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese. For one year, from 2019 to 2020, he was director of the National Agency for the administration and destination of assets seized and confiscated from organized crime (Anbsc). Previously he was head of the fire brigade, public rescue and civil defense department at the Ministry of the Interior.

The new director of Acn was born in Naples on April 24, 1956. He is married and has two children. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the "Federico Il" University of Naples. In 1981 he won the competition for access to the prefect's career. He has published several specialist essays on anti-mafia documentation.
