Lufthansa appoints two new managers

Heiko Reitz and Stefan Kreuzpaintner take office on March 1st

Changes at the top of the German aviation group Lufthansa. Heiko Reitz will be the new Commercial Director of Lufthansa Airlines and will be responsible for expanding and realigning the premium offers. Stefan Kreuzpaintner will be responsible for network, alliances and partner management of the Lufthansa Group and will expandi the network ties. They will officially take office on March 1, 2023.

I am also happy that Heiko Reitz, with his experience in the commercial sector, his in-depth knowledge of comprehensive partnerships, customer networks and offerings, and developments in the airline industry, will drive the development of Lufthansa Airlines with a strong focus on customer needs", said Lufthansa Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Jens Ritter.

In his career Reitz has been the author of strategic decisions. During the pandemic crisis he made an important contribution to stabilizing the company. He developed the Group's joint ventures and expanded important partnerships, such as the one with the State-owned railway company Deutsche Bahn.

For his part, Kreuzpaintner, a member of the board of directors of Lufthansa Airlines, has solid experience in sales, revenue and marketing management positions. Skills for which he has been selected to best perform in his current role. During the pandemic, he was responsible for the strategic positioning of the brand, subsequently promoting the new premium Lufthansa long-haul product "Allegris".
