Brandenburg Airport back to normal
Passengers are advised to inquire about their flight in advance and to report to the terminal earlier
Passenger traffic at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport is slowly getting back to normal today. However, as most of the air connections are concentrated in the morning around noon, passengers are asked to inquire in advance about their flight and to show up at the terminal at least 2 hours and 30 minutes before departure, the airport management company reports.
The restoration of the airport's operations comes after more than 24 hours of inconvenience caused by a strike of the German airport staff yesterday, January 25, declared by the "Verdi" union. All flights taking off and arriving had suffered problems: about 300 flights were canceled or rescheduled and at least 35,000 passengers suffered inconvenience. Today, to limit possible further delays, travelers can use security checkpoints at both terminals regardless of their departure gate.
