United Airlines orders 200 Boeing aircraft
The maxi commission also includes dozens of B-787 Dreamliners
United Airlines today announced an order for 100 B-787 Dreamliners and 100 B-737 MAX airplanes. It is a decision with which one of the main American carrier intends to modernize its fleet, make it more efficient and sustainable, as well as lay the foundations for sustained growth in the post-pandemic phase.
The order for 200 airplanes from the Chicago-based airline is worth about 43 billion dollars at list prices. United said the order includes an option to purchase an additional 44 B-737 MAX aircraft for delivery between 2024 and 2026. This brings the total number of 737 MAX family aircraft ordered to 443, a big boost for the aircraft manufacturer planes, which still suffers severe repercussions after the two fatal plane crashes.
