New British Prime Minister Liz Truss will go to Kiev

Announcement today after invite Zelensky to go to Ukraine

The new British Prime Minister, Liz Truss, will make an official visit to Kiev at the invitation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This is what emerged yesterday in one of her first telephone conversations as a neo-premier with a foreign leader. During the call, according to media, the politician confirmed London's "unshakable" support for the war with Russia, without hiding the nuclear deterrent.

The new "iron lady", as some British media have dubbed her, the third woman in history in Downing Street after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May, will try to make her predecessor Boris Johnson forget quickly. With a political agenda that offers reliable answers to the emergencies of the moment: the looming recession, rising inflation, social protests, the energy crisis, the high bills, the repercussions of the war in Ukraine, the effects of post-covid, the after "Brexit", the internal political turmoil must be resolved.

An aid package is ready against the energy crisis which will absorb three quarters of the increase in bills. At work also on other measures such as the VAT cut on the cost of fuel and the suspension of the Green Levy tax (on the use of renewable energy). A more incisive political proposal is under consideration, which consists in cutting the price of energy for six months: a cost of 38 billion pounds.
