Aeroflot resumes air flights to Chengdu

From July 22, the Russian airline will operate regular connections to the Chinese airport

With the start of the Summer season and the easing of strict restrictions to limit the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, Chinese authorities have given the green light to open airspace to new international connections. These include commercial flights from Russia operated by carrier Aeroflot.

Starting July 22, the Russian airline will operate regular flights between Moscow-Sheremetyevo Airport and China's Chengdu-Shuangliu Airport in Sichuan Province. The round-trip connections will be operated weekly with A-330 widebody aircraft. The Chinese Embassy in Moscow and the website of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, confirm it today .

Chengdu is China's main industrial, technological and economic center. It is home to manufactures, multinational technology companies, business, financial and insurance services. The international airport is located 16 km from Chengdu city center and is the second busiest in the Dragon Country. In addition to this route, the Moscow-Beijing, Moscow-Shanghai and St. Petersburg-Chengdu are also operational.
