Ukrainian conflict: London sends arms and soldiers

Tanks, armored vehicles and about 8000 soldiers for joint exercise in Eastern Europe

The government of London has disposed the dispatch of armaments and approximately 8000 soldiers in the eastern Europe in order to take part to military exercises. The men of Her Majesty's Armed Forces will be deployed along the entire eastern border of the Old Continent: Finland, the Baltics, Poland, North Macedonia.

"The security of Europe has never been more important. These exercises will see our troops join forces with allies and partners from NATO and the Joint Expeditionary Force in a show of solidarity and strength in one of the largest shared deployments since the Cold War", said Britain's Ministry of Defence, Ben Wallace

The exercises aim to deter Russian aggression in Scandinavia and the Baltic States. For this reason, dozens of tanks and more than 100 armored fighting vehicles will also arrive in Eastern Europe. The British armed forces will be joined by tens of thousands of soldiers from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and London Special Forces supported by the armies of Denmark, Iceland and Norway.
