Russia-Ukraine: 6500 war crimes reported

In Ukraine the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague

The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine has announced that, according to an official calculation, there are about 6500 alleged war crimes committed by the Russian Army and for which investigations have been opened. Meanwhile, local authorities have announced that since the beginning of April in the area of the capital Kiev have been recovered the bodies of 765 civilians, including 30 children.

This is reported by the British newspaper "Guardian" which cites as a source the regional deputy chief prosecutor, Oleh Tkalenko and said: "We have just started to work in larger cities such as Borodianka, Hostomel, Irpin and Bucha", hinting that more crimes could be discovered in other areas in the coming days, weeks or months. At the moment, several mass graves have been discovered in places that had come under Russian control. 

Meanwhile, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Karim Khan, who is visiting Ukraine to take evidence and testimony, commented: "Ukraine is a crime scene. We are here because we have reasonable grounds to believe that crimes are being committed within the jurisdiction of the court".
