The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports it today on its website: 38 countries (including the USA and Montenegro) have banned their airspace to flights by Russian aircraft, in response to the large-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

On the financial side, however, the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank of Ukraine today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Union and a financial agreement to provide the country with subsidized loans as part of a new macro financial emergency assistance package for an amount of 1.2 billion euros.

"We are grateful to our European partners for the trust and strong support we are currently receiving, which is extremely important in times of war. EU macro-financial assistance is a significant contribution to ensuring Ukraine's macro-financial stability" the Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko underlined it. Ukraine will receive the first tranche within a week. The second one will be disbursed after the implementation of the short-term measures agreed between the parties on the implementation of structural reforms. Macro-financial assistance from the EU will be used to maintain economic stability in Ukraine", according to a statement issued.
