Second auction to sale Uruguay presidential aircraft
Plane has sparked bitter debates since its first appearance
There is a specific date for second auction in which Uruguay's presidential aircraft could be sold. On Thursday 15 October at 12 am there will be no starting auction base at the location chosen by the defense ministry, that is the national association of auctioneers, appraisers and real estate brokers. We are talking about BAe-125 that caused controversy since its first appearance. Holder of the ministry, Javier Garcia, explained how the conditions are good for the sale of the aircraft, among other things the ministry of foreign affairs and that of migration are also involved in identifying and contacting any foreign buyers.
On Monday 10th August, 2020 this plane, a twin-engine low-wing aircraft, will be transferred to Buenos Aires for an important inspection, in order to present it in optimal condition during the October auction. Review will last abouhad raised more than one perplexity in 2018 due to the order through a direct purchase mandate and not through a tender, a detail that caused endless parliamentary questions.
