Mi-24 "Hind" helicopters found in an Australian landfill

Today two Russian-made Mil Mi-24 "Hind" helicopters have been found in a Darwin landfill. The discovery took place at just over 330 km from their former depot at the Tindal base of the Royal Australian Air Force (Raaf) near Katherine where military aircraft operated from 1997 to 2016.
